This brief is informed by policy forums held by The Living Cultures Project in New Orleans in 2008-2009
to address key policy issues confronting neighborhood and cultural
life. It focuses on a growing number of agencies and programs to not
only support the arts in urban centers, but to develop and support a
growing “artistic workforce.” How can the arts help to improve
communities through job creation?
