There is another new marketing course that will debut at the NeighborWorks Training Institute in Cincinnati. The title is What's Your Story? Communication for Action." Check it our online @ www.nw.org/training or in the new NeighborWorks Training Institute brochure for Cincinnati August 13-17.

If you haven't registered yourself at realtor.com, you should. You can tailor a weekly newsletter from them to your particular interests. I chose research and sales techniques. There are numerous great articles like Simple Tips for Better Showings, 6 Landscaping Tricks That Wow Buyers, and Staging on a Budget. These are all things that we can use to help our neighborhoods compete for buyers in this awful market. Also, their newsletter Real Estate Insights has great market analysis.

Here's an example of neighborhood marketing from Swillburg in Rochester, NY. They've replaced their traditional blue city street signs with black and white signs that have the Swillburg neighborhood logo on them.

I just got these links for an outstanding video promoting the Layton Boulevard West Neighborhood in Milwaukee, a member of the Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative, as well as a neighborhood blog.
