From the Recommendations for Sustainability section (p12):
Require every board member to articulate
and communicate the vision, mission, and
measurable outcomes the organization
plans to achieve.
I think this is not only important for Board members but also for staff to understand the vision, mission and outcomes expected of them.

Can we weigh in on this issue of sustainability?
Non profits need to be more resilient in the ‘new economy’.

In a recent published study of non profits it was found that nearly three quarters of nonprofits need to understand better what they can do to improve sustainability. The formula represented: Leadership + adaptability + program capacity = sustainability – a notion that incorporates some of what has been presented from time to time, but never before in this format/approach.
