Founding director, NeighborWorks of Western Vermont (formerly known as Rutland West Neighborhood Housing Services) 1986-2000
Served on numerous boards in Vermont including Vermont State Housing Authority, Vermont National Bank's Socially Responsible Banking advisory board, Rutland County Community Land Trust, Crossroads Arts Council, and the Wallingford Elementary School board.
During the same period worked within the growing network of rural community-based organizations within the NeighborWorks Network - as rural representative on regional and national advisory boards, as co-founder of RNA Community Builders (a national CDFI), and as a member of the National Rural Housing Coalition board of directors.
2000 to the present - first coordinator and then director of the NeighborWorks Rural Initiative working out of Boston. The Initiative works to strengthen and support community economic development in rural communities across America and Puerto Rico.

I second Sarah -- also, I've been hearing some NSP grantees say, more or less, "we have interest but none of the people interested can qualify for a mortgage", and they describe that as a lending problem. To me, that sounds more like a marketing pro…

Thanks Vince. At this time, I know non-profits do not have access to RD's loan origination software, UniFi. I'm not sure how much we've discussed the issues of access to CAIVRS in the 502 course.
